Clean, Fresh, New

When my house is up-side-down and I'm just not in the mood to tackle the clutter, I find therapy in creating file images of what I'd like to see appear if I closed my eyes for two seconds. Look what appeared this time.

I'm not sure which I find more calming, the neutral colors or the symmetry of the arrangement -  I think it's the lack of clutter

  1. As a person who stores a life-time stash of this and that in a small appartment and who can spell C L U T T E R in fractals of a second, I find your choice of pictures very calming, serene and in a lovely light-spreading color scheme.
Wishful thinking - as I have mostly darkish furniture (antique, not to be painted !!) and I frantically try to light up my surroundings by tossing light fabric to any applicable surface :-)
BTW - I would like the Recamière, please :-)))

  3. These rooms are so soothing. I love the dark wood floors. Clutter makes me nuts, but at the end of the week - there it is again. Once it's gone I can breathe.
    Here's to an uncluttered week,

  4. A very nice place to go, even if it's only with my mind's eye. Thank you.

  7. Hi - I long for that symmetry! I live in a old old house that has crooked walls so there is not much symmetry to be had here. I can dream though... L x

  10. I like the wood floors, but they have a way of getting just as dirty as carpet...

  12. Love the clean look of these images. I've got a couple of side chairs that are so comfy, but uphostery has gotten dingy. I'm thinking of covering with chair covers similiar to these. Thanks for comfirming my idea!
