The weather in the midwest is crazy this time of year. One day the temperatures are in the 70s and then predictions for snow. So, to stay with this theme, I thought I'd show you some really 'crazy' staircases.
I received these images from one of those 'pass it on' emails. So, I have no clue how to credit these images, other than saying thanks to someone out there who took some really fun photos.

They are all interesting, but I really like the bookcase steps.
ReplyDeleteWow, I'd probably tumble down most of them, but I like the library steps and the stairs with those drawers are brilliant!
ReplyDeleteHope your weather stops being so crazy soon!
Good weekend
Wow, some of them look really dangerous!!
ReplyDeleteHi Rita,
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful selection of staircases. I love the first one and the one with storage is brilliant. I think that we could all do with tmore storage.I also think that some of them could be rather dangerous.
My son and his wife are heading for Texas tomorrow so, could you sort the weather out for him, please !!
Have a lovely weekend, Rita. XXXX
Dearest Rita,
ReplyDeleteWhat fun. The roots of that tree are a little creepy -- imagine in the middle of the night, dimly lit.
Again, you ARE sunshine. Have a wonderful weekend.
xoxo,
Tish
Wow Rita, there are a few in there that would be a bit scary first thing in the morning! There is something intriguing about the last photo. I am fascinated by trees so I guess it fills a need! Fun photos!

HI Rita
ReplyDeleteHow inventive some people are.. I've always loved the floating staircases though I think I'd be stuck to the wall on the climb. No running up those in the middle of the night!! The bookshelf staircase is a very clever idea but I'd probably never make it to the top.. would have to stop and read awhile.. Great images... helps the mind to wander!! Have a great weekend.. xx Julie
Crazy...but what fun. xv
ReplyDeleteNow this is stunning and enchanting in the same picture. Some stairs look rather normal, but for me the weirdest is in pic 4 - really not easy to clim with heels I fear... kind regards, Martina
ReplyDeleteThose are awesome pictures. I love some of the staircases.
ReplyDeleteThanks for following my blog and visiting.
I will a follower of yours too.

these are a bit crazy but I like that. I call it whimsical. I just did a post today on Whimsy! I like a touch in my home keeps it from becoming to serious, Kathysue
ReplyDeleteWhere in the world did you find all these photos AND how in the world do you walk up some these ? Very fun and interesting nonetheless ! Thank you !!

It's like my equilibrium is now all thrown off! What crazy, fun, architectural beauties. My favorite just has to be the library version with the tree being the runner up. At my age however, I see myself tumbling more than climbing. Great post Rita :)

Hello Rita! Stopping by for the first time ~ what a lovely place you have here! This post is so fun! I will have to stop back later this afternoon when my daughter gets home from school. She is artistically inclined and will love seeing these 'crazy' staircases.
ReplyDeleteKindly, ldh
What brilliant examples of staircases. I like the suspended steps and the branch handrail the best!
ReplyDeleteMy staircase suddenly looks VERY boring!
