Time Table

You know what they say about time when you are really having fun.
I've enjoyed my time away, but it's time to get back to my normal routine. I have a lot of catching up to do.

Absent With Purpose

After retiring from a stressful, thirty-year career, I intentionally re-purposed and refocused my life based on making family and friends my priority, and living a life that celebrated the joy and blessings of the special moments in life. In keeping with that promise, I have spent the last month celebrating several special events.

I apologize for my absence, but I thoroughly enjoyed the time away. Dinners, brunches, and parties celebrating my youngest daughter's 30th birthday and engagement, my youngest grand daughter's Baptism, and other special events with friends and my church family. If these events weren't enough for one month, I've had the interior of my house painted. Most of my furniture is still waiting to move back into my house.

Starting next week, I think my life will be back to normal - just in time to start celebrating the Thanksgiving holidays and Christmas.

A Rare Treat Part II

Continuing my tour of the Southern Accents Showcase Home 2009.

The guest suite was amazing. Not the size, but the decorating. The walls were done in a gray on white tiger-print...hand stenciled.

Another unique room was the conservatory...a small room with big impact. A wall of French doors opened to the courtyard patio. The opposite wall was mirrored floor to ceiling, which added great depth.

The mud/laundry room was perfect for pet owners...note the 'doggie' shower.

A Rare Treat!

I never seem to be in the right place at the right time for the major showcase home tours, so getting to tour the Southern Accents 2009 Showcase House in Ft. Worth, Texas was a wonderful treat. Every inch of this 8,500 square-foot English-style Cotswold manor was perfect...move in, don't change a thing, perfect

Here are the front and back exterior views, the entry hall, and the main living area. I'll share more tomorrow.
